Carol Dickinson Daniell is an emerging novelist whose debut, The Soldier’s Daughter, has captured readers’ hearts with its emotional depth and vivid storytelling. Through themes of reconnection, resilience, and the enduring bond between a father and daughter, her writing resonates with those who value heartfelt narratives and rich character development.
A proud Army BRAT, Carol spent six formative years of her childhood in Thailand and Okinawa, graduating from the International School of Bangkok in 1966. Her adventures across Asia—including time in Thailand, India, Japan, and the Philippines—sparked a lifelong fascination with culture, travel, and human connection.
After three years as an English major at New Mexico Highlands University, Carol’s path shifted when the death of her mother inspired her to follow in her footsteps into nursing—a career rooted in compassion and care.
Now a retired registered nurse, Carol has embraced her true passion as a full-time writer. She lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, Michael Daniell, USAF (Retired), surrounded by their lively menagerie of cats and dogs. A mother of three and grandmother of twelve, Carol continues to draw inspiration from her family, her travels, and the timeless stories that shape the human spirit.
